In an era-defining moment, the robotics startup 1X, backed by OpenAI, has accomplished a formidable feat. Surpassing even the high-flying endeavours of Elon Musk's Tesla, they've pioneered the deployment of the first-ever humanoid robot in a professional setting.
The humanoid, known as EVE, has been assigned to a role as security guard at an android manufacturing facility. This signals a significant leap forward, bringing about a fresh perspective on the concept of surveillance.
EVE is no ordinary guard. Equipped with sophisticated monitoring systems, such as cameras, alarm sensors, and motion detectors, she brings a level of efficiency unmatched by her human counterparts. Most strikingly, in the event of an android falling foul of rules, EVE can virtually inhabit the errant android and regain control.
What's equally remarkable is EVE's adeptness. She can manipulate doors and windows, handle objects and perform tasks akin to human capabilities.
