Dear Creative Friends – AI won’t steal your jobs!
Hey there creative friends! I hope you're all doing well. I know there's a lot of buzz about AI these days and how it's going to take our jobs, but I want to share a different perspective with you.
Firstly, let's talk about the film industry. When CGI technology arrived on the scene, it opened up a whole new world of possibilities and created many new jobs in the process. The same can be said for the music industry with the advent of digital audio workstations. These tools have allowed musicians and producers to take their creativity to new heights and explore new genres of music. (I love Drum'n'Bass - a genre that wasn't possible before the early nineties)
Now, let's talk about how this relates to us creatives. In this new AI era, we'll start to see the shift from traditional creativity to what I like to call "𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆." The amazing thing about this approach is that it frees us up to focus on the ideas and concepts we want to communicate, while AI tools take care of the technical details. (I was always crap at the technical stuff anyway.)
So, my creative friends, I encourage you to embrace this new era with open arms. Get to know the AI tools that are out there and how they can help augment your creative process. By doing so, you'll become more competitive, produce higher quality work, and ultimately be more successful.
