Starting in 2025, a new generation steps into the world: Generation Beta – the kids who’ll see AI as casually as we (me, a Gen X’er) once saw flip phones. Their growing up will be characterised by hyper-personalised education, voice activated and Augmented Reality everything, and a planet grappling with massive climate challenges. And that’s just the start!
In my AI workshops, I often remind participants that AI isn’t just a tool we operate – it’s a partner we collaborate with. For Gen Beta, this level of collaboration will feel as normal as WhatsApp does for us today.
I feel happy when ChatGPT tells me I’m a good person. Gen Beta will have their mental health managed by AI’s!
Why It Matters:
- McCrindle Research suggests generational labels help us track broad shifts in education, technology, and social values.
- This new generation will redefine what ‘normal’ looks like in everything from careers to consumer trends.
What’s the first word that comes to mind when you think of Generation Beta?
